ANAYURDUM

On September11th the United States of America whitenesd the most terrible scene of the century in they hands of brutal terrorist attack on world Trade Center, The Pentagon and 4 hijacked commercial air plains. Thousands of innocent and peaceful civilians were killed or injured.

This barbaric act is not committed against the United States of America alone, it is also against humanity and democracy world wide. The bitter results of these acts are quite familiar to Azerbaijani people of who have undergone the physical and moral terror for nearly two centuries under the yoke of the Persian chauvinism of Iran in South Azerbaijan. The independent Republic of Azerbaijan in the north has been terrorized in the hands of Armenian expansionism where nearly 20 percent of internationally recognized territory of Azerbaijan has been occupied, one million Azerbaijanis have been ethnically cleansed from the occupied territories, entire villages and towns have been looted and burned to ground and Unite Nations resolutions in demanding Armenian withdrawal have been ignored by Armenian terrorists.

The September 11th terrorist act once again proves that no country in the world can be insured against state sponsored

international terrorism.

The world Azerbaijani Congress condemns this barbarism and express' out most condolences to the people of the United States of America and calls upon the world community to be united and fight against international terrorism and states that sponsor them. These criminals must immediately be found and brought to justice and their supporters be punished.

We hope this tragedy will once again reminds the world community that fight against terrorism must be taken seriously and expanded against all the states that trains, finances or helps it by any means. We hope the world community will not be fooled by recent statements from terrorist governments like Islamic Republic of Iran who has been at the State Departments list of terrorist nations in the last decade.
